School update

I am being kept busy by classes, and even though they are challenging, I am enjoying  them. So far I am getting the most out of my Chiarscuro class. It’s very tough, but I am learning things fast. The instructor is a tough critiquer who gives very helpful comments. Below is our second week’s assignment.

In the third week we’ve moved from drawing these plaster objects to drawing a still life of similiar household objects. Mine, which is still in progress, is of a plate, a cup, a tea box, a hot pepper and a clove of garlic. If the final is worthwhile, I will post it. Next week we will do a very detailed drawing of fabric, and from there go on to drawing a plaster torso, faces, and finally a complex still life.
