This is it – the monster portrait I’ve been writing about for months. I really think I’m seeing the light at the end of the tunnel with this thing. It’s been a serious bitch, but I’ve learned a ton. After this, I am probably finished with grisaille painting for a while. I am going to return to direct painting utilizing what I’ve learned about value from these grisaille paintins and from working on the Munsell Student Color Set.

This painting needs to be finished by the end of January.
